Chain of Ponds’ winemaker Greg Clack received his Viticulture and Oenology degree at the Adelaide University in 2003. With extensive experience working in Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wineries, Greg joined Chain of Ponds in 2005.
Initially, working under our founding winemaker, the late Neville Falkenberg, he learned the secrets to producing elegant, cool climate wines. In 2007 when Neville moved back to his roots in the Barossa, the gate was left open for Greg to follow his legacy and continue Chain of Ponds’ mission to produce world class wines.
Throughout his career, Greg’s collection of award winning wines are testament to his meticulous attention to detail and quality. This has been further recognised with Greg’s nomination as finalist in both the 2008 and 2018 Young Winemaker of the Year Awards.
A decade and still categorically ‘Young’, we believe that with his eternal youth, Greg’s best wines are yet to come!
